Admission and Fees Payment to WCU - Panama
Admissions in all Programs of WCU are open all times of year and students can
enrol and start their studies anytime they find suitable. This facility has been
provided keeping the mind the professionals and adult learners who want to continue
college studies with their other priorities in life.
Fees of WCU Programs are computed based on credits in each Program. The general
credit description for each WCU course is mentioned as below although this may be
altered at different study centres based on local regional needs of the students
and the regional government educational laws:
Diploma Program Diploma Program may vary in duration from 06 to 12 months and the entrance
requirement may be 10th Class (high school) or 12th (Intermediate School) Class
graduation. WCU Diploma courses are usually 16~32 credits. For details, one should
contact their local study centres.
Bachelor Degree Program Bachelor Degree Program in engineering and technology is 04 years long
whereas in other disciplines, it is 03 years long. The entrance requirement may
be 12th (Intermediate School) Class graduation or a 03-years Advanced Diploma in
same field of specialization after 10th Class (High School) graduation. Bachelor
Degree in Engineering weights 120~144 credit hours including 100 Core Credits, 12
Elective Credits, and 06 Project Credits. The Program also contains a 6-week mandatory
internship.
Bachelor Programs in Science, Arts, and others weight 96 credits.
Post Graduate Diploma Program
Master Degree Program Master Degree Programs are 02 years long. The entrance requirement may
be Bachelor graduation in same field of specialization. Master Degrees weight 36~64
credit hours including 40 Core Credits, 12 Elective Credits, and 08 Project Credits.
The Program also contains a 6-week mandatory internship.
Master of Philosophy Master Degree in Philosophy is 12 month long. The entrance requirement
may be Master graduation in same field of specialization. M.Phil. weight 32 credit
hours including 16 Core Credits, 08 Elective Credits, and 08 Project Credits.
Doctorate Degree Program Doctorate Degree Programs are minimum 02 years long. The entrance requirement
may be Bachelor graduation with Diploma in same field of specialization or a Master
Degree in same field of specialization.
Doctorate Degree weights 50~64 credit hours including 26 Core Credits, 12 Elective
Credits, and 12 Thesis Credits. The Program needs mandatory submission of a research
thesis.
Post Doctorate Program Post Doctorate or a Grand Ph.D. Degree is 12 month long. The entrance requirement
is Doctorate graduation in same field of specialization. Grand Ph.D. weight 20
credit hours earned completely through submission of a Post Doctorate Research Thesis.
One should inquire with the regional/local study centre for more information on
credit hours in different degree Programs. The fees are computed based on number
of credits studied. The rates of cost computation are as follows, although they may
vary from country to country based of many factors:
Bachelor: $85 USD per credit hour
Master: $125 USD per credit hour
Doctorate: $185 USD per credit hour In addition to the above student must pay $200
enrolment/registration,
examination / thesis defense fee (will be charged according to the program applied
for) plus $250 graduation fee, plus the cost of any supplemental materials. Deserving
Students from Developing Countries may apply for 50% Scholarship/Concession in their
Examination Fee only.
Mode of payments:
Telegraphic Transfer: Students can make payments
using Telex
Transfer (TT). It is also called
Wire Transfer in some countries. It is a
secure bank to bank transfer of money.
Bank Draft/Cheque: Students can
make payment either at our affiliated study centres or to the regional directors
in their countries by means of Cheque/Demand Draft in their names or through
transfer of amount in their personal accounts as they are authorized to accept
the payments on behalf of university.
Western Union (Asian regions Only)
: WU is easy money wire mode through its agents that yo can use to pay your WCU
fees.
